Why Pawkeo exists

Leaving a dog or cat with a stranger is stressful. Search results are full of directories that list a business once and never check whether it is still open, still licensed, or still any good. Pawkeo is built to fix that: every listing is checked against public licensing and review data, and we say plainly when a listing has not been verified yet, rather than presenting every result the same way.

How listings get onto Pawkeo

We start from public business records and Google reviews for boarding kennels, catteries, groomers and trainers across the UK. A listing only becomes fully visible once it has enough real information attached to it — address, contact details, and a summary of its reviews — and a city page only exists once there are enough listed businesses nearby to be useful. We would rather show nothing than show a page with two half-empty results.
