Privacy Policy

Pawkeo (“we”, “us”) operates pawkeo.com, a directory of pet boarding, grooming and training businesses. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

• Business listing data: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and review summaries of pet-care businesses, sourced from public business directories and Google Maps. This is business data, not personal data about an individual, except where a business is a sole trader operating under their own name.
• Enquiries you send us: if you contact a business through Pawkeo or email us, we collect your name, email, phone number and message so the enquiry can be forwarded and so we can reply to you.
• Listing claims: if you claim a business listing, we collect the email address you verify ownership with.
• Payment data: if you subscribe to a premium listing, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to that data.
• Basic usage data: standard web server logs (IP address, pages visited, browser) kept for security and to understand how the site is used.

Why we process it

To operate the directory and forward enquiries (legitimate interest), to fulfil a paid subscription you have asked for (contract), and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest). We do not sell personal data.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), our hosting provider DigitalOcean (EU-based servers), and email delivery providers we use to send enquiries and account messages. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and claim data is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry or claim, then deleted or anonymised. Subscription records are kept for as long as required for accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. If your business is listed on Pawkeo and you want it removed or corrected, email us and we will action it.
